Fall Intuit at Colabyrinth
A fundraiser hosted by the YoPros

Enjoy an incredible evening at Fall Intuit at Colabyrinth, a fundraiser for the museum’s 2023 exhibitions hosted at the creation space co-directed by artist Lucy Slivinski and musician Kahil El’Zabar. The museum’s Young Professionals Board seeks to raise $15,000 to support 2023 exhibitions, including an upcoming exhibition of the work of photographer Ted Degener. Attending friends will enjoy tasty food from Milo’s Market, wine and beer, live music by DJ Hameedullah, and a silent auction, surrounded by Lucy’s metal and found object sculptures.

About the exhibition

Artist-built homes, gardens, studios and other environments captured Degener’s interest in 1973 after his cross-country visit to photograph Simon Rodia’s Watts Towers. That trip was the first of a lifetime of seeking makers within their artist-built environments—continually evolving, site specific and life-encompassing works of art that are created across the spectrum of practice, process and material.

From January to May 2023, Intuit will present a collection of Degener’s portraits, revealing something like the lives of the featured artists themselves—a lifelong pursuit.
