Intuit Summer Fellowship

INTUIT SUMMER FELLOWSHIP

Aiming to encourage greater diversity in the museum field, the Intuit Summer Fellowship Program is a summer work opportunity for students enrolled in state, city and community colleges in Chicago from backgrounds that have traditionally been underrepresented in the museum field.

The Intuit Summer Fellow will be introduced to all facets of museum work, including curation, collections, education, marketing, development and executive leadership. They will work closely with Intuit’s senior management team and meaningfully contribute to ongoing museum projects. In addition to their participation in staff professional development, educational and public programs, and special events, the Intuit Summer Fellow will learn about contemporary issues in the museum field.

The eight-week fellowship is a 20-hour-a-week commitment, and the Intuit Summer Fellow will earn a $3,000 stipend.

Applicants should either be enrolled in a state, city or community college in Chicago or be in their first summer post-graduation. Eligible applicants are BIPOC students interested in pursuing a career in the arts.

The fellowship will be primarily remote, with some on-site work depending on projects. Fully remote applicants will be considered.

To apply for this fellowship, please complete this Google Form and send your resume to Paula Santos, senior manager of learning and engagement, at paula@art.org. The application deadline is May 2, 2021. The position begins June 7, 2021.
