Experience the exciting progress of Intuit’s museum renovation! The facility is being transformed into a modern, accessible museum with triple the space, including a dedicated classroom dedicated to Mr. Imagination, a reimagined Henry Darger Room Experience and new galleries to showcase exhibitions and the museum’s collection. Tours have a capacity of 10 and are about 20-30 minutes. They begin at the temporary Intuit Store, located next door to the museum at 760 N Milwaukee Avenue.

Join Deb Kerr, the President and CEO for Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, collector Ashley Duchossois Joyce, dealer Kristen Dodge, and Vice President of Heritage Auctions Rudy Aronoff in a conversation about best practices for collecting outsider, self-taught, and vernacular art. Kristen Dodge, art dealer and director of SEPTEMBER Gallery in upstate New York is currently staging a landmark booth on the fair floor featuring the work of legendary Chicago-native Reginald Madison. Madison is a self-taught American painter and sculptor who came to prominence in the emergent art scene of the Black Arts Movement (BAM) in Chicago between 1965 and 1975. Duchossiois and her partner, Mike Joyce, are members of Intuit committed to building a collection of self-taught artists. Featured in their collection are esteemed outsider artists Henry Darger, Lee Godie, Bill Traylor, and William L. Hawkins, among many more. Rudy Aronoff specializes in prints from historic Chicago art movements like BAM and Monster Roster. Aronoff will provide a secondary-market perspective on collecting outsider art.
