Robert Buchholz
Born in Chicago in 1958, Robert Buchholz, sometimes referred to as Sir Robert, has been creating found object art assemblages since the early 1980s. Through his love of music, Buchholz has worked as a freelance musician in various bands and busking since the mid-1970s, as he hitchhiked across the country. Joseph Cornell, Max Ernst and Marcel Duchamp serve as influences for Buchholz’s sculptures. His work has been featured at the Chicago Public Library and in group shows across the country.
