Member Event: Collection Tour with Patric McCoy

Member-exclusive collection tours

As part of the museum’s 30th-anniversary celebration, Intuit invites members to a series of virtual private collection tours hosted on Zoom throughout 2021. Each event includes a screening of a collector’s home tour, followed by personal stories told and a Q&A with the collector about their collecting journey.

Join fellow Intuit members for a collection tour with Patric McCoy, whose collection holds more than 1,300 artworks primarily reflecting 50 years of Chicago’s African American art ecosystem. Patric is a co-founder of Diasporal Rhythms, a Chicago-based organization that promotes art collecting in the African American communities, and is a member of the museum’s Collections & Acquisitions Committee. See works by Mr. Imagination, Derek Webster, Shirley Hudson, Robert Johnson, Eric Nix and Arkee Chaney!

This event is exclusive to members. To register or check your membership status, email membership coordinator Claire Fassnacht at claire@art.org by Wednesday, February 24. To renew your membership, visit the Membership web page.

Intuit will email the Zoom link to members on the day of the event. Please check your junk folder; unfortunately, emails are sent there sometimes.
