Intuit invites members to a series of virtual private collection tours, in which a collector of outsider and self-taught art leads a tour of their home and shares stories about their collecting journey. Each event concludes with a Q&A with the collector.
Join fellow Intuit members for a tour of the Memphis home of John Jerit (www.thefolkaholic.com). “My name is John, and I am a Folk-A-Holic. I am pleased to share with you my 22-year adventure with the outsiders living inside my house,” says Jerit. “During the tour, or as you peruse my website with my favorite libations of craft and elixirs of ingenuity, you might find yourself thinking: ‘Ugh, he outbid me on that at Slotin!’ or ‘I saw that hanging in a collector’s home…not for sale…how did he get that?’ or ‘I am happy for him…he has built a nice collection…I am not really that happy for him.’ I look forward to welcoming you.”
