Videographer Internship

Reports to: Executive Director and Marketing and Communications Manager
Pay Category: Unpaid
Other compensation: Occasional food and travel
Required Hours: 15-20 hours per week

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Proficient in visualizing and executing concepts effectively and efficiently

  • Discretion in determining what equipment is needed for a specific project or task

  • Ability to safely handle, transport and set up various production equipment

  • Ability to make technical decisions regarding light and sound

  • Working knowledge of various editing programs

  • Ability to edit video and integrate segments into PowerPoint and Prezi

  • Provide onsite videography during Intuit events

  • Aid in the production of visual and multimedia marketing

  • Interact with staff, volunteers, interns, curators, board members, artists, lenders, vendors, museum visitors, and other constituents through written and verbal communication

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in multimedia production strongly preferred

  • Creative thinker

  • Professional demeanor

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Ability to manage special projects as assigned

  • Flexibility and eagerness to assist in other areas of the museum as needed

  • Committed interest in a career in museums, visual arts or nonprofit fields
