Member Event: Collection Tour with Bob Roth

Member-exclusive collection tours

As part of the museum’s 30th-anniversary celebration, Intuit invites members to a series of virtual private collection tours hosted on Zoom throughout 2021. Each event includes a screening of a collector’s home tour, followed by personal stories told and a Q&A with the collector about their collecting journey.

Join fellow Intuit members for a tour of Vivian Society member Bob Roth’s home, where outsider art meets eccentric architecture. Roth lives in a Sol Kogen-designed Old Town building with funky curved staircases and trippy ornamentation that complement his extensive collection of American and European art brut and self-taught art. Represented in his home are Steve Ashby, Henry Darger, Sam Doyle, Charlie Lucas, Sister Gertrude Morgan, George Ohr, Friedrich Schroeder-Sonnenstern, Drossos Skyllas, Charles Smith, Adolf Wölfli and more—all alongside arts and crafts pottery, turned-wood vessels and contemporary work by Sue Coe, Joe Coleman, Tony Fitzpatrick, Jon Langford, Alison Saar and others.

This event is exclusive to members. To check your membership status, email membership coordinator Claire Fassnacht at claire@art.org. To renew your membership, visit the Membership web page.

Intuit will email the Zoom link to members on the day of the event. Please check your junk folder; unfortunately, these emails are sent there sometimes.
