Intuit’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator is dedicated to raising public awareness of the museum. This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with her and the board-level Marketing and Communications Committee to build the organization’s marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:

Create a calendar of marketing and public relations activities to execute the overall strategy

Public Relations

  • Write press releases and media advisories
  • Cultivate relationships with global, national, and local arts and culture reporters and pitch relevant stories to the media

Marketing

  • Conceptualize and execute marketing and outreach efforts
  • Oversee the creation of print and digital advertisements/marketing collateral and handle ad placements
  • Work with contractual or volunteer graphic designers to implement art direction
  • Serve as webmaster for www.art.org
  • Manage social media accounts
    • Instagram
    • Facebook
    • Twitter (With assistance from Intuit Senior Manager of Learning and Engagement)
    • LinkedIn (With assistance from Intuit Special Projects Coordinator)
  • Craft digital newsletters and e-communications
  • Work with education and curatorial team to develop engaging online content through the Get Intuit blog

Publications

  • Act as the managing editor for The Outsider magazine
    • Prepare the editorial calendar in coordination with the editorial board
    • Identify and recruit contributors
    • Oversee advertising sales to support the magazine
  • Coordinate free online access to Intuit publications, new and past

General

  • Work with the education department to ideate, plan and execute virtual and onsite public programming
  • Work with development department on fundraising communications strategy and implementation
  • Contribute to the strategic plan and dashboard
  • Serve as the staff liaison to the board Marketing and Communications Committee, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes and staying in close communications with the committee chair

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism
  • Proven digital marketing, SEO and social media management experience
  • Strong understanding of communications strategy and brand frameworks
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • WordPress familiarity
  • Professional demeanor
  • Team player
  • Art background a plus
