Intuit Store Internship

Reports to: Operations Manager
Pay Category: Unpaid
Other compensation: Occasional food plus travel
Required Hours: 15-20 hours per week (2-3 days per week)

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily operations of the Intuit Store, including budgeting, purchasing, merchandising, marketing, inventory control, and online sales fulfillment
  • Place orders for store merchandise
  • Conduct research pertaining to new products to sell in the Intuit Store
  • Correspond with consignment vendors and manage intake and return of consignment items
  • Process Intuit Store sales through cash register and credit card processing terminal
  • Provide friendly customer service to all Intuit Store shoppers
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Provide general support to the Operations Manager
  • Interact with staff, board members, volunteers, interns, curators, artists, lenders, vendors, museum visitors, and other constituents through written and verbal communication on a regular basis

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Previous retail experience preferred
  • Experience using Quickbooks Point of Sale (POS) and Square sales processing systems preferred
  • Familiarity with eBay and PayPal helpful
  • PC skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Merchandising experience helpful
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Creative thinker
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism
