Administrative and Development Internship
The volunteer administrative and development intern reports to the development manager and development associate. Candidates must be able to work 15-20 hours per week (two to three days per week).
Responsibilities
- Assist with updating information in the donor database and preparing donor tax letters and membership materials
- Carry out administrative tasks related to development initiatives, including event mailings, annual fund letters, donor acknowledgement letters and more
- Assist with drafting emails for membership and donor solicitations
- Assist with occasional special fundraising evening events as needed (typically once a month)
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Provide general support to the development manager and development associate
- Participate in meetings and professional development workshops with staff, board members, volunteers, interns and collaborators on a regular basis
Qualifications
- Proficiency in copy editing and written communications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Previous fundraising or development internship or volunteer experience preferred
- Previous experience using donor management software helpful
- Interest in museums and arts organizations preferred
- High level of professionalism
- Good interpersonal skills
