The 2016 Insider Tours of Outsider Collections heads into fall this November with a visit to the home of Scott Lang and Jo Ann Seagren. Board member Scott’s lifelong love of outsider art began when he bought an Elijah Pierce wood carving called Pickin' Cotton in the 1970s and which he later loaned to the Black Folk Art in America exhibition at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. The collection now includes works by James Castle, Joseph Yoakum, Eugene Von Bruenchenhein, Lee Godie, Frank Jones and William Dawson. Chicago imagist works are also freely intermixed with those of several other contemporary artists.

Guests will be treated to a collector-led tour and light refreshments. Space is limited so reserve your spot today!

If you are a Team Traylor Member (or higher), please RSVP to intuit@art.org to reserve your free spot.

Registration is now closed for this event.
