Intuit Tours Martín Ramírez Exhibition

Milwaukee Art Museum
Date: Saturday, October 27, 2007
Time: 9am- Bus departs from Intuit, 756 N. Milwaukee Ave
Cost: $50, lunch not included

Called, “one of the best shows of the season” by The New York Times, you don’t want to miss the chance to see the Martin Ramirez exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Join Intuit as we travel to Milwaukee via luxury coach with Victor Espinosa, scholar on the life and art of Martin Ramirez and essayist in the exhibition catalog. You’ll enjoy a continental breakfast while Espinosa talks about this important figure among American self-taught artists. On the return, you’ll visit the Anthony Petullo Collection of Self-Taught and Outsider Art for a reception before returning to Intuit.

Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art promotes public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of intuitive and outsider art through education,
exhibition, collecting and publishing.  Intuit defines ‘intuitive and outsider art’ as the work of artists who demonstrate little influence from the mainstream art world,
and who instead are motivated by their unique personal vision. This definition includes art brut, non-traditional folk art, self-taught art, and visionary art.
