DIY Journals: Bookbinding Workshop

Saturday, March 11, 2017
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
$40/$35 Intuit Members

In this three-hour workshop, you will learn basic book binding techniques to get started in the book arts. We'll discuss materials, tools, and methods for making variations of books, such as pamphlets, stab bindings, and other common non-adhesive bindings, but will focus primarily on learning the Coptic Stitch. You will walk away with a small hard cover book by the end of the session!

Instruction provided by Chicago-based artist, Regin Igloria founder of North Branch Projects.

North Branch Projects uses the book arts to expand the creative reach of individuals. Dialogue is encouraged between people in an inclusive setting, making it possible for ideas to have a positive impact in the place we live. The studio community fosters an open approach to sharing work with new audiences and encourages collaboration and integration.
