FAQtet, a chamber ensemble of the Chicago Modern Orchestra Project, will present the totem score
PROVOCATION/CONFLICTS during an unforgettable performance at Intuit. Inspired by the writings of Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard, FAQtet approaches the issues of ethics, God, and faith through creating sonic landscapes inspired by the themes of salvation, pride, faith, challenges, truth, humility, the fallen and forgiveness.

Led by celebrated composer Renee Baker, PROVOCATIONS/CONFLICTS uses Kierkegaard’s writings as a springboard to explore the religious and cultural themes present in the Post Black Folk Art in America exhibition.

This performance coincides with the opening reception for Intuit's newest exhibition: "Post Black Folk Art in America 1930-1980-2016", curated by Faheem Majeed. Click to learn more about the exhibition and reception!
