Administrative Internship

Reports to: Executive Director
Pay Category: Unpaid
Other compensation: Occasional food and travel
Required Hours: 15-20 hours per week (2-3 days per week)

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Conduct research related to catering, special events, lodging, transportation, hospitality, peer institutions, community partnerships, development, and more
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, agendas, minutes, and other supporting materials for board meetings
  • Assist in administrative coordination of workshops, public events, donor cultivation events, and more
  • Aid in marketing and public relations initiatives
  • Provide onsite support at Intuit events (name tags, seating, set-up and overall logistics)
  • Manage special projects as assigned
  • Provide correspondence, scheduling and general administrative support to the Executive Director
  • Interact with staff, board members, volunteers, interns, donors, curators, artists, lenders, vendors, museum visitors, and other constituents through written and verbal communication on a regular basis

  • PC skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Ability to work independently
  • Great time management skills
  • Committed interest in a career in the museum, art, or nonprofit fields
